In the links above, the Islandís Boards of Health have assembled the information necessary to minimize oneís TBI exposure, recognize its early symptoms if exposed, and to seek prompt effective therapy if symptomatic. It is intended to allow Islanders and visitors to more safely enjoy our Islandís great outdoor beauty. In this we follow the paths of others, like life guards who counsel on rip tides and others who counsel on bicycle safety, where the goals are to encourage safety in our waters and on our bike paths. And so here too, we seek to bring together the information necessary to work and play safely in our Islandís great outdoors.

Island-Produced Videos cover a wide range of Tick-Borne Illness topics, specific to Martha's Vineyard.

Printed Materials are available from your local Island Health Agent.

Research Findings are created from data collected on our Island and those of neighboring Islands. They were gathered as part of a 5-year grant provided to the Islandís Boards of Health by the Marthaís Vineyard Hospital, and by graduate students in medicine, nursing, pharmacy and public health. These students were from local universities and were managed through the Dukes County Health Council.

Treatment options and local Island Health Agent contact information is made available for your convenience.
